Nope. There will be no arm wrestling to get you to say, “uncle” and commit to ten sessions. What I suggest is trying one to three sessions to see if it’s a fit. If you feel you’re getting results, we’ll go from there. However...

Still curious?:

OK- still no. I’m not going to make you sign on the dotted line or anything. However... the purpose of the ten sessions is actually about an economy of work. We’re not looking to drag anything out unnecessarily. Dr. Rolf designed the ten series as a way to help people get the maximum benefit in the minimum number of sessions (and I’m sure if she were still alive she’d have more than a few other reasons to add to that, but for our purposes here, I won’t nerd out on you and go into the whole spiel). If you come in for a specific issue- say shoulder pain- and in only a couple of sessions that pain goes away and stays away- right on. Go forth and enjoy your pain-free shoulder. More often than not, people will come in for a specific issue, and as that heals they notice how they’ve been gripping and shortening to support that injury. This is where Rolfing’s holistic thing, and ten sessions, comes in handy. With the ten, you can leave from the series feeling very well attended to. I had one client describe the ten sessions as, “a big reset button for your body.” It’s not quite that linear, but you get the idea.
